Principal Associate/Operational Effectiveness

Nutshell

A management consultant with more than 20 years experience in strategic and operational process effectiveness working with both private and public sectors.

Uly was trained as a metallurgist and worked in a variety of business areas from industrial engineering research and product development in to developing government sustainability policy. Uly specialises in process improvement as the contributor to sustainability.

He has worked with companies ranging from aerospace to industrial cake baking to help them improve their operational effectiveness.

Uly has developed several award-winning sustainability projects: the UK's National Green Apple Award 2005, the UK's Sustainability Awards 2006 and the UK's Business Commitment to the Environment Award 2007.

Uly is on the DTI’s lean construction steering group and is currently researching on sustainability in construction for a book to be published in 2008.
